How to file a claim
Report your claim in-app
Open the GeraSure app or website. Go to "My Plans" → "File a Claim". Select your plan type (Health, Accident, or Device) and describe what happened. This takes under 3 minutes.

Upload supporting evidence
Attach photos, receipts, medical reports, or a police report (if theft). Our smart upload tool accepts JPEG, PNG, and PDF. No scanning required — a clear phone photo is fine.
For health claims: doctor's notes or discharge summary. For device: proof of purchase + photo of damage. For accident: medical report.
Get paid
Our claims team reviews your submission and makes a decision within 48 hours for standard claims. Bundle plan holders receive priority review. Approved funds are paid directly to your GeraCash wallet or bank account.
Typical payout: Health 24–48h, Accident 24–72h, Device 48h. Complex cases may take up to 5 business days.

Claims FAQ
- How long does a claim take?
- Most standard claims are reviewed and a decision made within 48 hours of submission. Bundle plan holders receive priority review. Device theft claims requiring police reports may take up to 5 business days. You will receive real-time updates by email and in-app notification at every step.
- What evidence do I need?
- For Health claims: a doctor's note, hospital discharge summary, or prescription. For Accident claims: a medical report or A&E discharge letter. For Device claims: proof of purchase, a photo of the damage, and a police report if theft. A clear smartphone photo of documents is acceptable — no scanning needed.
- How will I be paid?
- Approved claim funds are sent directly to your GeraCash wallet (instant) or your registered bank account (1–2 business days). You can choose your payout method when submitting the claim.
- Can I claim multiple times?
- Yes. There is no limit on the number of claims, subject to your annual coverage limit. Health Basic covers up to 10,000/year, Accident up to 15,000/year, Device up to 1,500 per device. Once an annual limit is reached, cover resets at your next renewal date.
- What if my claim is denied?
- If your claim is declined, you will receive a written explanation within 48 hours. You have the right to appeal within 30 days by providing additional evidence. Unresolved disputes can be escalated to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) free of charge.
- Is there a waiting period before I can claim?
- Health Basic and Accident plans have no waiting period — you can claim from day one. Device plans have a 14-day waiting period after activation. There is no waiting period on any plan for emergency events.
- Can I file a claim for an event that happened before I signed up?
- No. All plans cover events that occur after your coverage start date. Pre-existing conditions are excluded from Health Basic for the first 90 days.
